The New Hampshire Department of Transportation is hosting a Statewide Freight Summit on March 22, 2018 in Claremont, NH. The Summit will be held at the Claremont Savings Bank Community Room (145 Broad Street, Claremont) from 12:30 - 3:00 PM. The summit will provide an overview of the New Hampshire Freight Plan, discuss national trends in freight movement, provide an update on investments into the Port of New Hampshire, and provide information on the latest developments in Autonomous Trucking and Truck Platooning and their potential impacts on the trucking industry.

Registration for this event closes on Friday, March 16 and seating is limited. Register online via nhfreight.eventbrite.com

The event will be followed by an Open House in the same room from 4:00 - 6:00 PM.

The New Hampshire DOT (NH DOT) Statewide Freight Plan is a strategic planning document that will define a short and long-term vision for the freight system in New Hampshire. The statewide freight plan will be multi-modal; including air, pipeline, rail, truck and maritime transport. It will identify short, medium, and long-term strategies to guide future freight policies, investments, and partnerships. Work on the plan began in the spring of 2016 and will be completed by fall of 2018.

As part of the planning process, NH DOT has convened a State Freight Advisory Committee (SFAC). Committee members will participate in the development of the statewide freight plan, by providing direction and guidance on freight issues of concern and opportunities; freight stakeholders and areas of interest; strategies, actions, and policies; and project prioritization.
